Chris Kairalla has over 10 years’ experience doing animation and special effects for television and film.  Notable projects include “Hedwig and the Angry Inch“, “The Kid Stays in the Picture“, “El Cantante“, and “Sleep Dealer“.  He has collaborated with many prominent artists, including Alex Rivera, Rosie Perez, and Clifford Ross.

In 2005 Chris began the transition from video based art to interactive art.  He is currently the Co-Founder and technical lead of the social VR platform VRB.

Chris was previously CTO of Kandu Studios (renamed Ready), which makes creative software for kids, and Executive VP of Technology for MegaPhone Labs, which provides services for multi-user interactive telephony applications on large public screens.

Chris is also an Adjunct Professor at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program.
